Introduction

Smart Couple is a relationship tracking and metrics app for iOS. We built it with one guiding principle: your personal data belongs to you, and only you.

What We Collect

Nothing. Smart Couple does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Your inputs are not accessible by Smart Couple.

Where Your Data Lives

All data you enter in Smart Couple is stored locally on your device. You may optionally sign in to iCloud on your device, in which case Apple's CloudKit framework will back up your app data to your personal iCloud account. This is entirely your choice. When iCloud backup is enabled, your data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and protected by Apple's iCloud security standards.

Exporting Your Data

SmartCouple includes an export feature that lets you download a copy of all your data at any time. This export is generated entirely on your device.

Data Sharing

We do not share your data with anyone, because we never have it. The only data transmission that may occur is between your device and Apple's iCloud infrastructure, if you have iCloud enabled, and that is governed entirely by Apple.

Children's Privacy

Smart Couple is not intended for children under 13. Because we collect no personal data, no information is gathered from users of any age.

Your Controls

Because your data lives on your device, you are in complete control:

Delete individual entries directly in the app
Delete an entire relationship by deleting the couple entry in the app
Delete all app data by removing Smart Couple from your device
Manage or delete iCloud backups via Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud
Export all your data at any time using the built-in export feature
